Public health, production efficiency, and process performance for various applications depend on effective raw water pretreatment and treatment. Trihydro specializes in optimizing source water through pretreatment and/or treatment applications for
many applications including drinking water, pretreating cooling tower/boiler feed water, and process/production water. Our design solutions focus on cost-effective, scientifically sound treatment systems.
Our water treatment experts have extensive knowledge of water treatment plants, including micro-filtration membrane technology and conventional filtration plants. This experience includes new water treatment plant planning and design, existing
water treatment plant expansion, treatment unit replacement at existing water treatment plants, and associated activities. Optimization of source water is closely tied to the desired application.
A common concern for drinking water providers is meeting Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state drinking water requirements, while common concerns for industrial or manufacturing applications include improving production efficiency
and process performance. Our water treatment team performs water quality studies to determine optimal treatment options for biological and chemical constituents that may be present in source water.
We evaluate new treatment technologies to select the most appropriate fit for a given facility. This may include lowering the potential of hydrogen (pH) to control the corrosivity of the water, ozonation, or microfiltration, or adding an ion exchange
step to reduce hardness in source water with high calcium or magnesium content.
Often, water received at an existing facility may originate from a variety of treated sources. In these circumstances, our staff can perform water compatibility studies of the combined treated water to determine if the water meets regulatory requirements
and/or is suitable for protecting downstream production and process equipment from scaling, fouling, corrosion, and other forms of damage. Our engineers are also experienced with water reuse options and treatment, which can help reduce disposal
costs and concerns.
