A major natural gas processing and transportation company utilizes Maximo's external work order system to help track its oil and gas site operations, inspections, and scheduled maintenance. It also uses LeakTracker Pro ® as a separate system for its fugitive emissions recordkeeping and EPA CEDRI reporting for OOOOa, OOOOb, GHG Subpart W, and various state regulations. The client requested a custom feature to help share important leak and survey data between both platforms and reduce time-consuming scheduling and data entry.
Trihydro’s in-house technology development team created an API connection to Maximo’s data sources and set up daily automated data communication flows. This enabled their work order system to send and receive urgent leak and survey data to LeakTracker Pro®. The customizations required close collaboration with the client’s IT Department to test and confirm the new feature and make sure that the data transferred was accurately reported across each site.
With the custom API integration, the feature automatically syncs both systems with new leak information and leak repair data, keeping both systems updated according to the repair windows for leaks discovered from OGI and AVO inspections. The communication of new leak data through the API then automatically generates work orders for timely leak repairs.
The custom API integration feature minimizes communication errors and helps manage varying inspection frequencies between OOOOa and OOOOb. It also coordinates schedules and ensures maintenance teams are aligned with repair deadlines, saving the client time, and eliminating communication gaps.
