Business Achievement: Industry Leadership
Companies are selected to receive EBJ’s Industry Leadership Award based on their active leadership in national, state, or local issues impacting policy, programs, or funding to support environmental industry growth and heighten awareness of key environmental issues.
Trihydro received the Industry Leadership Award for its participation in the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council’s (ITRC) Industry Affiliates Program (IAP) since 2001. ITRC works to achieve healthy and sustainable air, water, land, and ecology through collaborative research and communication of innovative solutions to challenging environmental problems. In 2020, Trihydro professionals participated in several ITRC Project Teams, including those surrounding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), 1,4-dioxane, soil background concentrations/risk assessments, vapor intrusion, environmental statistics, and bioremediation. Through work with ITRC and similar academic consortia, Trihydro is committed to collaborating with diverse stakeholders to generate support for important environmental issues.
Business Achievement: Information Technology
EBJ’s Information Technology category awards companies that have successfully used software to collect, manage, analyze, or display information. EBJ recognized Trihydro for developing a customizable software platform, FieldVision™, to help companies collect, manage, and report environmental data. To develop FieldVision, Trihydro’s software team worked directly with technical field staff who understand data collection challenges firsthand. With FieldVision, users are notified of required actions automatically. They then collect data using a mobile device/tablet with built-in form logic and the data is immediately uploaded to FieldVision. Users can view data in real-time on dashboards, perform data analysis, and generate reports in one click. Project teams have reported that FieldVision has resulted in a 60% reduction in hours over traditional paper data collection and reporting methods.
Business Achievement: COVID Response
Individuals and organizations faced unprecedented challenges in 2020. EBJ’s COVID Response Award recognizes companies who turned challenges into opportunities by developing new business units, projects, or revenue streams. Trihydro received the COVID Response Award for offering wastewater monitoring services to help municipalities, educational institutions, and private companies make more informed decisions surrounding social distancing protocols, business or facility operations, and additional individual COVID testing requirements.
The 2020 EBJ awards will be formally presented at a virtual awards ceremony on February 11-12, 2021.
