Trihydro continues to grow our water and wastewater capabilities with the addition of Reed Meriwether, P.E., Senior Engineer. Reed is based in our Austin and New Braunfels, Texas offices and will support municipal and industrial clients with project management, design services, and construction management. As a licensed Professional Engineer with a broad range of experience, Reed’s technical expertise includes:
- Water & wastewater treatment design
- Large pipeline design and rehabilitation
- Pump station and storage tank design
- Aquifer storage and recovery systems
- Reclaimed water systems
- Asset management and master planning
- Stormwater collection systems
- Industrial water treatment
Prior to joining Trihydro, Reed spent 30 years providing technical design and managing water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and stormwater projects in Texas, Florida, and Virginia. Reed also has hands-on experience with troubleshooting upset conditions at treatment plants, conducting facility and pipeline condition assessments, and energy conservation work.
What drives him
Understanding the value of sustainable water resources and how it affects all of us on a day-to-day basis is the foundation for my interest in this field. I am passionate about finding solutions to water issues, and I appreciate that I get to do so as part of Trihydro’s Infrastructure & Water/Wastewater Team.

In his spare time, Reed enjoys hunting and fishing, spending quality time with his family, and attending his kids’ sporting events. Additionally, he enjoys traveling around the U.S. and the world to meet new people and experience different cultures and history.
